Aligning teeth with ceramic braces
The parents of a young man turned to iStomatolog clinic in Kyiv with the goal of correcting his bite. The patient's desire was to align his teeth and put his canines in the correct position.
The protruding canines significantly worsened the patient's appearance and created problems with cleaning his teeth, leading to a constant localized chronic inflammation of the gums.
The treatment was carried out in 4 stages using a ceramic braces system.
1 STAGE
CT EXAMINATION
The patient underwent an X-ray examination, digital 3D models of the jaws were created, detailed measurements were taken, and the final result was planned.
2 STAGE
CREATING SPACE FOR THE CANINES
Space was created for the canines to be placed in their proper position.
3 STAGE
FIXATION OF THE BRACKET SYSTEM
The bracket system was fixed to the teeth.
4 STAGE
REMOVAL OF THE BRACKET SYSTEM
After removing the system, retainers were fixed for final stabilization of the result, and thin transparent caps were made for night use.
The orthodontic treatment took 14 months. As a result, an excellent functional and aesthetic result was achieved, and the patient's wishes were fully satisfied.
